Kimono Envelope Clutch Bag with Butterflies and Bamboo | Upcycled Kimono Obi Silk

A handmade envelope clutch purse upcycled from vintage premium Japanese jacquard silk kimono obi fabric.

STORY
In Japanese culture, the butterfly is a symbolism for renewal, a celebration of the end of something old and the welcoming of something new.  The evergreen nature of bamboo symbolizes undying devotion and perseverance.

MATERIALS
Base Fabric: vintage Japanese silk obi
Pattern: Gold Butterfly and Bamboo on Red
Fully lined with inner pocket
Comes with dust bag and kraft paper keepsake box.

We do our best to photograph the bag to show how they will appear in person, but due to the nature of working with upcycled material there will be some variation in the pattern seen here. This adds an element of uniqueness to the bag, with no two patterns being exactly the same.
